Land, Elizabeth A.K.

Elizabeth Agnes Kestler Land, 94, formerly of Petersburg, widow of Fred R. Land, passed away Thursday, March 04, 2004. A native of Hanover County, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Lucy Tiller Kestler. She was a retired employee of Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company and a long time member of Second Baptist Church. Mrs. Land was preceded in death by a daughter, Lola Dean Tuckwiller. She is survived by a daughter, Emma “Peggy” Moy of Texas; a son, John “Tommy” Land and wife, Pam of Hopewell; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, March 8, at Blandford Cemetery with the Rev. Joseph T. Lewis officiating.
