Mrs. Thetus Burchett Thompson age 99 of Hopewell died Saturday, July 10, 2004. She was the daughter of the late James Ira and Fannie Lamb Burchett and the widow of Joseph H. Thompson, Sr. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Tennant of Hopewell and Elizabeth Greenburg of Richmond; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph H. Thompson, Jr. and James W. Thompson and a daughter, Mildred L. Jackson. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 13 at Appomattox Cemetery with The Rev. Larry Davis officiating. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
