Bates, Shaun P.

Shaun Patrick Bates, 23 of Richmond, died Sunday May 23, 2004 in Norfolk General Hospital. He was born in Spartansburg, SC. Shaun was a welder for Industrial Alloy Co. of Richmond. He is survived by his mother, Rosanna Mazzei of Glen Allen; his father, James Bates of South Carolina; one brother, Jason David Bates of Glen Allen; two aunts, Marie M. Fratto and her husband John of Dallas, TX; Frances M. Newsome of Greenville, NC., three uncles, Leonardo Mazzei and his wife Sharon of Chester, Ted Mazzei of Roanoke, VA; Mario Mazzei and his wife Lisa of Birmingham, Al and numerous cousins. A Rosary will be said Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 7:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will follow until 8:30 PM. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 28, 2004 at 10:00 AM in Appomattox Cemetery with the Rev. Daniel Bond, Rector of St. James Catholic Church officiating.
