Aphrodite (Freda) Hnarakis Armstrong age 74, of Hopewell died, Saturday, May 1, 2004. She was the widow of Marvin B. Armstrong, a retired Lab Technician at Allied Chemical and was a life member of St. Elpis Greek Orthodox Church. She is survived by four daughters, Dianne A. Fales and her husband Randy of Satellite Beach, Fl..Valeria A. Byrum and her husband Herbie of Spring Grove, Elaine A. King and her husband Earl of Chesterfield and Mary A. Gay and her husband Jim of Chesterfield; a son, Michael M. Armstrong of Prince George; two brothers, Gus Hnarakis of Pulaski and Harry Hnarakis of Oxen Hill, MD; three sisters, Katherine H. Perelas of Herndon, Va. Mary H. Saunders of Walterboro, SC and Helen H. Kweller of Derwood, MD; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by a brother, George Hnarakis. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Monday at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home where a Trisagion service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at St. Elpis Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, Va.
